Once a day was my typical rate of forgetting something inside my old Wolfman Enduro Dry Saddle Bags. I’d have to unclip some straps and open the top to get whatever I had forgotten. The main roll-top straps are beefier, and compression straps have been slightly rearranged for more uniform load tightening. Moving one compression strap to the bottom keeps everything cinched down more tightly so the bags don’t billow when empty. External zipper pockets on both sides greatly increase user-friendliness, so you don’t have to be as mindful of where you pack small things like a toothbrush or tent stakes. The organization sleeves inside each bag provide easy access for things like maps or electronic cables that will lie flat. Both sides of the bags are also padded to retain shape and offer a bit more protection for gear inside.

Fortunately, the size increase is also spot-on. Instead of just lengthening or widening the bags, proportions have been scaled just slightly in every direction. This means they still fit on lightweight bikes and will stay mostly out of your way on tighter trails. The dimensional changes are so subtle you practically have to lay the new and old bags side by side to see any difference. However, this roughly 23% increase in total volume doesn’t go unnoticed when packing supplies. The outgoing bags were perfect for lightweight trail riding and camping, needing only a backpack and small tail pouch to carry everything for a number of weeks.
